Big Frank's Fire Truck is a fun, eye-opening, and educative book for kids. The book is intended to help young readers get a clear picture of what Firefighting entails. It also brings to light the important job of firefighters and how they help save lives.

The writing style of the author is brilliant, simple, and down to earth. So, kids between the ages of 3-7 years are going to have a fun time reading it. The vivid illustrations in the book are engaging, detailed, and filled with bright colors. The balance of the artworks is really impressive, as they aren’t too cutesy.

One striking thing about this book is that it is realistic and informative. The pages of the book are loaded with information about fire trucks, fire fighting equipment, the working hours, roles and duties of firefighters, as well as a few important details about fire safety.

While this book was written for kids, adults can also learn a lot from it, as it shed light on some valuable information on car fire safetyOpens in a new tab. and inspecting a fire safety system. Even more, it unveils some details about fire safety equipment that some adults may not know of.

Big Frank’s fire is a far cry of what most fireman book out there, with no emotion or storyline. It provides deep insight into what the life of a firefighter is really like. The book clearly describes what happens during the 24-hour shift of Big Frank, the firefighter. It begins with him filling up his engines, preparing his gears, and went along to teach fire safety at Nice view Elementary School. It also shows how he inspected the fire safety system of the local Kwik shop, hanged out with his buddies, and went home at the end of his shift.

The author of this book did a lot of work to ensure that it wasn’t boring. The action pack section like how frank raced to the scene of a car accident and how he battled with a raging wildfire is certainly going to leave readers at the edge of their seats. The book also brings to light the bond between firefighters and how they work together to put out fires.

The author also did a good job of making readers know that firefighter are hero’s with family, friends, and loved ones who care about them. You will see this at the end of the book when Frank goes home to his kids.

The bottom line is that the book is perfect for kids and adults alike. Here is what one reader had to say about it.

“The book is very educational and realistic. Kids will learn about types of fire trucks, equipment, job duties, work hours, and roles. Big Frank goes for a 24-hour shift at the firehouse and responds to a car accident, teaches fire safety at a school, checks on a supermarket fire system, eats and sleeps at the firehouse, and then spends all evening and night working a large fire. Illustrations are very detailed, leaving lots of room to go beyond the story. Big Frank is even shown going home to his kids after his shift, which is interesting for kids who think firefighters just work at all times“.

The only downside to this amazing book is that it is a little bit too long. But, this shouldn’t deter you from checking it out, as it is brilliantly illustrated and perfect for kids.
